The Interns

Every princess needs an adorable sidekick, right? Harlan and Ella are ours! These two are cutest and most loved little chihuahuas ever. They listen in on all business phone and video calls, occasionally making surprise on-camera visits.

Harlan is 9 years old and is a rescue from San Bernardino. He’s the most peaceful, calm, and cozy boy, a true introvert who would really love to be bundled up and sleeping under a blanket at all times. He’s the sweetest little cuddle buddy and nap partner. He also is quite an advanced soccer player, and will even pass the ball back and forth with you! Harlan is the ideal intern because he’s a sensitive boy and also loves love. We are serious. If my husband and I are hugging or laughing together, he will run up and dance on his back feet to join in and make it a “love party.” We always praise him and dance along, calling it a “family dance!”

Ella was a found and rescued as a street dog in Tijuana, Mexico and brought to CA when she was about a year and a half old. She’s only 4.5 lbs and missing half of her teeth, so it’s hard to believe she made it so long on her own! Now she’s around 3 years old and is living like the domestic queen she was born to be. She is spunky and funny, incredibly smart, and loves food with her whole being. Her favorite things are giving kisses, sitting next to Kelsey 24/7, laying on a heating pad, belly scratchers from dad, grooming her brother, Harlan, and running errands with mom. She waits by the window when we leave the house and sings us a beautiful song when we get home. Ella is filled with joy, overflowing with personality, and entirely perfect to us.

Between our gentle and quiet soul, Harlan, and our “personality hire,” Ella, we have the greatest interns anyone could ask for!
They are our most valued support staff, and one of the absolute best parts of our lives!

We are also providing “temporary internships” by fostering dogs through Alma Rescue, a 501c3 that is dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs in Mexico and finding them their forever homes in Southern California. After all, everyone deserves their “Happily Ever After!”
